Aladdin Introduces Secure eToken-Based Provisioning for Cisco Integrated Services
Routers
New, cost-saving router provisioning offering significantly reduces implementation
costs and increases security through Aladdin eToken technology
-
CHICAGO, February 15, 2005 -
Aladdin Knowledge Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:ALDN), today announced that it will offer customers
and partners an eToken USB Key and Token Management System which provides a new,
highly secure way to provision Cisco integrated services routers. Aladdin eToken
provides fully automated, token-based router provisioning system designed specifically
to decrease deployment costs while increasing security.
-
The provisioning system enables the loading of router configuration data such as
boot-strap information, keys and other sensitive information directly into the eToken.
This new offering brings added security and convenience while reducing internet
service provider's (ISP's) and customer's implementation costs, previously requiring
manual handling and configuration of each router.
-
Additionally, once a router has been provisioned, the Aladdin eToken key can be
used for a variety of other security applications such as VPN access, web access
and PC logon, enabling organizations to experience enhanced network security as
an added, unlimited benefit. For additional details on other supported security
applications please refer to: http://www.Aladdin.com/etoken/default.asp.
-
"The eToken-based secure provisioning adds yet another layer to our long lasting
relationship with Cisco," said Avishai Ziv, vice president for business development
at Aladdin Knowledge Systems. "Customers of Cisco integrated service routers can
now enjoy two significant values eToken provides: mobility and enhanced security."
-
"Customers are demanding highly secure and easy to use systems and the combination
of Cisco's new integrated services routers, and eToken-based provisioning can provide
that," said Adrian Amelse, senior director of the Cisco Systems Security Technology
Group. "The new Cisco integrated services routers build upon the Cisco Self-Defending
network security strategy by integrating security features directly into the network
infrastructure, dramatically improving the network's ability to identify, prevent
and adapt to threats."
