In this announcement: ============================================= * HASP Device drivers support for Windows Vista * DataHASP support for Windows x64 * HASP Developer Solutions Directory update HASP Device drivers support for Windows Vista ============================================================================ With this new release of HASP HL and HASP4 device drivers, protected applications can safely run on Windows Vista. The command line, GUI and API installers are available on the HASP download pages. MSI installers are expected to be released in the coming weeks. This driver version will be available in Windows Update by the end of March 2007 and so is the Windows Vista support from Windows Update. The new driver installers are available for download from: - HASP HL (version 5.22) - http://www.aladdin.com/support/hasp/vendor.asp#latestDD - HASP4 (version 4.102.5.22) - http://www.aladdin.com/support/hasp/hasp4/vendor.asp#latestDD Additional Windows Vista support information ========================================================================== * Installing the new driver enables Windows Vista support for applications protected with the following: HASP HL API - all versions HASP HL Envelope version 1.12 and above HASP4 API version 8.01 and above HASP4 Envelope engine version 12.10 and above In addition to the driver update, customers who are using older API or Envelope versions than those mentioned above are required to re-link their application to the latest API library and/or re-protect it using the latest version of the HASP Envelope. * DLLs installed on Windows Vista have to be signed. Signed HASP runtime API DLLs are planned to be released after all driver installers have been released. DataHASP support for Windows x64 ========================================================================== The new device drivers have been enhanced to include HASP HL and HASP4?s DataHASP support for Windows x64. Using the new drivers, Win32 HASP-protected applications can now run on Windows x64 operating systems. DataHASP for native Windows x64 files will be available following the Windows x64 Envelope release, planned for Q3 2007. HASP Developer Solutions Directory update ========================================================================== A short while ago the HASP Developer Solutions Directory was announced. The Solutions Directory is a collection of HASP implementations, created by software developers as a resource for other software developers using HASP software DRM products.
